. biography .Some useless information about myself:
I live in England, in Lincolnshire, in the countryside, in a small wood, in a little studio. It's nice and quiet here which gives me plenty of time to make my illustrations. I have been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pencil. Careers advice at school thought that is was a bit of a joke when I told them that I wanted to be a professional artist, I was told to forget about it. I'm glad I was stubborn enough to keep pursuing my dream.
I really love making pictures, particularly for children's books. I have been working as an illustrator since graduating with a first degree in Illustration. I share our little studio with my partner, who is a design teacher and silversmith, and her grandmother who is 86 years old!
My motivation is constantly to try and improve my artwork! And I would really like to find more time to seriously work on my own personal projects, which are gathering dust in my sketchbook and head, one day I hope they get to see the light of day. So far, I have enjoyed producing over 30 books for children. My portfolio also consists of advertising and editorial commissions such as Cadbury, Marks and Spencer and the BBC.

I also very much enjoy visiting schools and running workshops with children of all ages, helping them with their art projects, discussing my life as illustrator and expanding our imaginations. Plus it gets me out of the house!
